For some people, this post is one of the most exciting parts of character creation. For others, just another part of the game. But equipment is an essential part of any Pathfinder game (and most RPGs). So here is some equipment that will be essential in a modern game, including new weapons and armor and a few skill items for the new skills.
Computers
In today’s world computers and access to them are everywhere. You can go to a library in almost any small city in America and find computers for public internet use. There are programs to help people get free smartphones and service for them. So, it can be assumed that most characters will at least have a smartphone. So while some phones and laptops, etc. may be much more expensive than listed here, since they are essential to daily life and game balance the prices reflect that. Besides used computers are readily available and phones are often cheap or free with a service plan.

Armor
Traditional fantasy armor is still available — in fact, some creatures behind the Veil still prefer it — but it is often out of place. Someone walking down the street in full plate will get a lot of funny looks. Then again, wearing full tac gear is only marginally better.

Light
Motorcycle Leather
Usually some form of tough leather clothes. They aren’t great at stopping bullets, but are comfortable and add a little bit of protection. You also won’t get too many funny looks for wearing them.
Light Sport Armor
This represents lighter sports gear, like a baseball catcher’s chest protector, or a sport fencing outfit. It’s gear that doesn’t offer much protection and usually doesn’t cover very much of your body. But it’s easy to explain why you might be wearing it
Medium
Ballistic Fiber
Generally, clothing that is reinforced with bullet- and cut-resistant fiber. Capable of preventing small-caliber rounds from penetrating, but you’ll still feel it. Because this is basically a set of bulky clothes, it is generally easy to maneuver in and, fairly comfortable to wear.
Medium Sport Armor
This represents bulkier sports armor, a full set of football pads for instance. A bit harder to maneuver in, but offers more protection.
Concealable Vest
The so-called bulletproof vest. It can be worn under a shirt to conceal it
Heavy
Full Tactical Armor
This is a full set of steel reinforce ceramic plates and other steel and durable plastic, covering your entire body.
Heavy Plate Carrier
This armor is made up of ceramic plates protecting the most vital spots from even high caliber rounds.

Besides TTRPGs, I love cosplay, Nerf Wars, comic books, all things post-apocalyptic, and am an avid DIYer (including making my own tabletop terrain and props)
